"Tales of the City 2000"
St. Paul's, George Street

Thomas William Hammond drew this sketch of St. Paul's in George Street in 1922, when the church was celebrating its 100th anniversary. Within only 4 years it had been demolished to make way for a warehouse for Woodhouse & Co., and in all good time, that too was demolished to make way for the cuurent structure, recently converted from factory/offices to accommodation.
