
In 2000/2001, as
part of the Millennium
celebrations, an exhibition was mounted in the Castle Museum and Art Gallery
which looked at images of the city, past and present.
Part of the display featured works by the well known Nottingham artist, Thomas William Hammond, and the Photographic and Recording Group was asked to take contemporary photographs of the sites portrayed by Hammond, to be displayed alongside.
