An opportunity to visit The Old Pumphouse on the Ropewalk.  

David Franklin, of Franklin Ellis Architects, and a member of the Civic Society Board, has kindly agreed to show members around this splendid conversion of Thomas Hawksley's Pumphouse.  

Ken Brand will introduce the work of the Nottingham-born Hawksley, whom Ken regards as the greatest British water engineer of the nineteenth century.

Meet at The Old Pumphouse, 5 The Ropewalk, NG1 5EU (Derby Rd end, formerly Hooley's Garage).
